How Rose Champagne should be!
"Wonderfully fresh with an altogether high palate - the small persistent gentle bubbles lift the wine in the mouth, in a way that put me in mind of Dom Perignon. The fruit flavours are extremely intense: rhubarb, strawberries, and a sort of peach and raspberry fusion on the finish reminiscent of peach melba. Surprisingly enough there were no detectable autolytic characters, so no rich toasty or biscuity flavours, but that made it true to great rose, rather than Champagne. Sublimely fruity, fresh and uplifting, and not much more expensive than the white Grande Annee, so a veritable bargain!"
