Origin
From the Tuscany region of Central Italy, Montalcino is home to one of Italy's finest wines. Wines have been grown in this area since the 15th century, producing dense, concentrated and sought after wines. In 1980 Brunello di Montalcio became the first DOCG region.
Taste
A complex bouquet of aromas: violets, red berries, cigar box, smoke, savoury and spicy notes. A beguiling palate of sweet red fruits and spicy black fruits leads to a rich, powerful and long finish.
Enjoy
The wine can be enjoyed now or any time over the next ten years, served from a decanter, partnered with red meats and hearty stews.
