Sancerre 'Les Romains' 2009/2010 Vacheron

Now made in a more classic style and matured in old oak foudres rather than barriques this is about as intense and powerful as Sauvignon Blanc gets.

Château Palmer 2003 3ème Cru Classé, Margaux

Warm cassis, mocha, vanillin and cinnamon aromas predominate with a pinch of anise and some dried plum. The palate reveals this as a very big, dense, weighty Palmer, with less elegance / femininity and more fruit and alcohol punch.

Petit Cheval 1998 St-Emilion

An exquisite wine from a leading St Emilion estate blended from Cabernet Franc and Merlot there is also a small addition of Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Côte de Nuits-Villages 2010 Nicolas Potel

Offers the classic Pinot Noir nose of ripe red berries, with some darker hints of blackberry and liquorice. Ripe yet nicely taught on the palate, with a smooth texture lifted by a lipsmacking acidity.

Raats Granite Blocks Cabernet Franc 2010 Coastal Region

A backbone of bright red berry fruits, further lifted by subtle notes of cinnamon, nutmeg and Chinese five spice. Well-integrated oak influence and a hint of mocha on the palate.

An invitingly fruity nose offers warm raspberry and blackberry fruit, tinged with vanilla and cinnamon. The middleweight palate offers supple, highly-polished tannins, and satisfying length.
