Tautavel Hommage aux Vignerons 2007 Côtes du Roussillon Villages

Beautifully deep and inky, with a complex nose of ripe raspberry and loganberry, and hints of vanilla and wild herbs. Rich and opulent in texture, with a lingering, liquorice-like finish.

A typically Cabernet-heavy blend, this is a robust, firm and well-textured middleweight claret. Powerful blackcurrant characters predominate, while leather and cedar notes add aromatic depth.

Nuits-St-Georges 'Chaliots' 2007 Domaine Michel Gros

This wine is part of an Exclusive Parcel secured through our Fine Wine Centre. Made from fruit drawn from four different areas and from vines of different ages, this has a great deal of complexity for a wine at this level. Deep, almost earthy, in character on the nose, but with a touch of floral fragrance.

Deep crimson in colour, the wine offers an attractive bouquet of bramble fruit, with subtle hints of smoked paprika and vanilla. The palate is a dense core of red fruits, with elegant tannins and spice.

Saarburger Rausch Riesling Auslese Goldkapsel 2007 Zilliken Saar

Exuberant on the nose, yet refined, this has notes of yellow plum and raisin, as well as a touch of caramel. On the palate, there are notes of grapefruit citrus and greengage fruit, as well as the more complex notes found in great botrytised wines.
