So many opinions - who is right?

Blimey - I've rarely seen so many different reviews about a wine on this site, rangeing from 1* to 5*. Ultimately, your view of this wine will depend on your reason for buying it. If you can afford to pay pay £20+ for a bottle of wine you probably won't even have looked at this, and probably won't see this review either. At £10 per bottle, there are plenty of wines that knock the spots off this. But I can truly say I've not drunk a better Kiwi SB this year for £5.99. ( and believe me i've tried a lot ). Good balance between sweetness ( yes, it is sweeter than some ) and freshness / acidity, means that it can be enjoyed with or without food. Be honest - you will have paid a lot more than £5.99 for a kiwi SB in your local supermarket only to find it was bottled in the Wirral and tasted of Cat's Pee. ( You know you have have )

    Great value

Soft , off dry, fruity, fresh, easy drinking. Without the cheek sucking acidity of a lot of Sav Blancs. Great value at the offer price, a good find.

Very good value, soft Sav Blanc

One to choose if not keen on traditional crisp, apple Sauvignon Blanc and after a softer, richer taste (without being overbearing like a chardonnay)

    Excellent value

A very good quaffing wine, and great value for money. Probably not a good choice for poseurs.

  • "Classic clean, grassy, gooseberry fruit New Zealand sauvignon, at a more-than-fair price, Bottles with a picnic-friendly screwcap."

  • "Impossible not to have one good Marlborough Kiwi sauvignon in any summer line-up, so ridiculously popular is this wine style with British drinkers. This sweet, bold, mouthwatering nettle and tropical fruit-stashed ’09 from the Wither Hills stable gets my vote. Best served cool as a summer apéritif or with powerfully verdant summer dishes, such as watercress soup and grilled asparagus."
