Grapes for Spier's Shiraz are grown on Western Cape's Clovelly and Vilafontes soils at a large estate specialising in ecologically sustainable farming methods. The wine is aged in a mix of French and American oak barrels for up to eight months before release.
Taste
Showing rich plum aromas with touches of white pepper and hints of ginger. A full body of rich red and black fruits, pepper and wood spices, powerful tannins and sweet smoky American oak-derived flavours.
Enjoy
Enjoy over the next three years with all kinds of red meat dishes, particularly sausage casserole.
