Origin
Fourth generation grower Miguel Torres uses his experience well in the production of this dry white. Now also holding vineyards in Chile and California, Torres have made wine in their winery in Vilafranca del Penedès since 1870.
Taste
Fresh and fruity on the nose, a smooth, crisp palate, with plenty of apples and pineapple fruit. A refreshingly crisp wine.
Enjoy
A wine suitable for drinking anytime - pre or post siesta! Superb with rice, fish and shellfish.

    Great for the price

If you find this at £4.99 as it sometimes is buy a crate of it for those occasions when you just need to bring a bottle. You will not find a better white for £4.99. Slightly too sweet for me but completely fine.

    Happy Holidays

Despite being made by the tankerload this remains a very good wine. It may tend towards the sweet for some pallets, and is best served very cold for that reason. Slurp away with salads and grilled chicken. Doesn't ask to be taken too seriously, but will not disappoint.

    Torres Vina Sol

This is our favourite white wine, discovered on holiday in Spain a couple of years ago. Glad to see it in the UK as it will always be top of our shopping list for wine. Give it a try, you will not be dissapointed.

    Pleasant for everyday drinking.

Returning to this wine after several years, it seems to be drier than before. Have our palates deadened? This wine will join our selection of white wines for everyday evening meals when meat is not on the menu.

    great wine!

Ice cold on a hot summers day, perfect. I like a wine under 12%.

  • Terrific, fresh as a daisy (2011 Vintage)

"Terrific, fresh as a daisy, slimline white, just 11.5 per cent alcohol, with lots of zippy, herby Granny Smith and lemon zest fruit (Jane MacQuitty, Times, 31st March 2012)."
