In 2003 they unusually ripened at the same time so Concha Vecino, the winemaker, decided to make a special one-off blend of the two parcels of grapes, comprising of 50% of each. A mineral and spicy nose overlaid with cassis lead to ripe black fruit in the mouth with silky tannins and a long, pure finish.
