Petit Verdot normally finds it way into claret to add a hint of spice and body to the wine, but as a single varietal it makes a rich, smooth wine with aromas of ripe berry and plum fruits. Full and round on the palate with peppery spice, hints of vanilla and a long, lingering finish.

"The petit verdot grape, grown in the Languedoc, comes into its own as a single variety with rich fruit, chocolatey streak and a damsony aftertaste."
