Domaine Py (pronounced 'Pea') is located on the southern slopes of the 'Montagne d'Alaric' between Carcassonne and Narbonne and has been owned and managed by the Py family for five generations. Deep red in colour, the nose is youthful with red fruit aromas and notes of blackberry and plum. The palate is velvety and smooth with warm spice and soft berry flavours combined with ripe tannins to give a finely-crafted structure and an earthy finish. Selected as one of the 'Top 100' Vins de Pays in 2008 this elegant red was awarded a Trophy as the best Merlot.
