Grape

Pinot Noir

Origin
Winemaker Ant Mackenzie has 20 years of international winemaking experience and this delicious Pinot is a clear example of Burgundian styling with New World ripeness.
Taste
Displaying plenty of redcurrant and raspberry fruit, in a tightly structured style, yet without the austerity of many a red Burgundy. Supple, juice-driven, but with firm tannins providing length.
Enjoy
The savoury edge of this wine will make it a hit with hard cheeses, game or charcuterie.

very nice grape. Might lack a bit of depth

The nice New Zealand Pinot Noir grape can be appreaciated to the full here. The wine lacks a little bit in structure and depth though. Overall a very good buy - albeit not quite as nice as the Oyster Bay

    Poor

Huge waste of money for the price, "a little thin" is an understatement. No long lasting notes and a poor effort for the price, especially as £11.50 is not cheap in the first place. Anyone thinking of buying will be well advised to spend a few extra quid per bottle and get the Wither Hills or similar

    Doughnut wine

Looked forward to this as Spy valley scored 5 stars in Decanter. Great nose and first taste, but do people like Jane MacQuitty drink the whole bottle? Basically the wine is unbalanced and by the end of the bottle (with food) it was an effort to drain the glass.
