Sancerre 'La Guiberte'

Sancerre 'La Guiberte' 2006 Alain Gueneau

Sancerre is believed by many to be the finest white wine of the Loire. The chalk stony soil, rich in marine fossils lends a distinctive herbaceous, minerally taste to the wine. Gooseberries and ripe rhubarb flavours abound, superbly rounded off with a clean, crisp finish and tongue-tingling acidity.
