After many quiet years, Castello della Panaretta is now beginning to show that it is one of the best Chianti Classico estates around. The old vines are now making wines of great structure and length under the tutelage of one of Tuscany's best winemakers. From almost totally Sangiovese grapes, it shows a firm ripeness and a wonderful depth with a touch of cherries on the finish.
