Grape

Pinot Grigio

Origin
From one of Italy's greatest producers comes this Pinot Grigio, grown in the hills around Montalcino, and made in the unmistakabe delicate Italian style. Using only free-run juice means minimal skin contact for delicate colour and lightness of body.
Taste
The warm Tuscan climate gives the delicate Pinot Grigio grape the ripeness and softness that really brings out the pear, melon and banana aromas, and softens the acidity on the palate.
Enjoy
A lively yet easy-going wine, which can be enjoyed on its own, or with white fish or light poultry dishes.

This is a good value white with a crisp, aromatic and fruity bouquet. Ideal for casual summer drinking. Best well chilled.

    Don't Bother

Uninteresting. Go for something from further north in Italy. Will be cheaper and better.

    Great Italian young White wine

This is a beautiful typical Italian white, crisp, perfumed and with a lively acidity. great as an aperitif. All Italian traditional whites are in this style, truly bottled sushine!

A fine example of a Pinot Grigio

Unlike some reviewers I find the Serena to have plenty of fruit. The flavours are much more delicate than some people might want, but that is how a good Pinot should be in my opinion. This wine has a fine bouquet and although I'd recommend it to be quaffed in the garden on a summer's day it is also a good accompaniment to shellfish, especially scallops. All in all a good product for the price.
