Vignes de Nicole Chardonnay Viognier

Vignes de Nicole Chardonnay Viognier 2007 Les Domaines Paul Mas, Vin de Pays d'Oc

  • Silver medal IWC 2007, Bronze medal Decanter 2007

The Chardonnay and Viognier grapes for this blend were fermented separately, with the intention of maximizing the characteristics of each in the final wine. The Chardonnay spent 4 months in oak prior to blending in order to give body without compromising the delicate characteristics of the Viognier. The result is delicious, with mango, pineapple and vanilla characters and a long finish

"If you like the well-rounded elegance of Chardonnay, and the tropical fruit aromas of Viognier, then look no further. The Vignes de Nicole combines the two brilliantly, with the Viognier adding a fresh, peachy zing to the Chardonnay’s ripe apple backbone. "
