    okay

Until "Les Griottes" returns to sub £10 this is close as it gets to Pouilly Fume for under a tenner. Prefer Les Baudieres - Sancerre as bone dry and no edge

    A good middle range wine.

I liked this slightly flinty, gooseberry nosed wine and at the price of around £10, it is well worth a punt. With smoked salmon it was delightful this christmas.

    Disappointed

I bought this wine to accompany a smoked salmon starter at our family Christmas meal. At £12 a bottle I thought I would be on safe ground but this was very average, even bordering on embarrassing given it was my choice. Maybe I need to spend more for a good Pouilly. At that money I should have gone for a NZ Sauvignon instead. Shame I had to find out the hard way.

    Fume for under a tenner . . .

It is what it is. Fume for under a tenner. It's not great but for good Fume you have to spend twice this price, for great Fume you need to spend three times. So - given that context . . . It is the usual bone dry white wine which - lets be honest - at this price you could drink on a regular basis. Not a great introduction to Fume but you get what you pay for, if you want class, style and elegance you'll have to pay more. Grapefruit and gunflint, not the best but I'll certainly buy it again.

    Dry, Fruity and interesting

As a firsdt time Pouilly Fume drinker I havent anything to compare it to. However, I enjoyed the dry crisp flavour and the extra mineral finish on the palate. Great for under a £10 too.

    Excellent value

strong gooseberry flavour and description of gunflint is good. Enjoy with white meats and also spicey foods or on its own.
