One of the most staunchly traditional winemaking regions, the Saint Mont appellation in Gascogne offers a number of indigenous grape varieties rarely found outside of southwestern France.
Elegant and crisp, the palate is awash with refreshing citrus character.
A middlewieght wine typical of Southwest France, with intense red fruit aromas, tinged with liquorice notes. Nicely structured on the palate, with a pleasing balance of roundness and power.
Youthfully pale yellow with faint green tinges. Zesty lemon and grapefruit aromas dominate the nose. Fresh, lively and dry, the palate is equally citrussy, with a touch of flint-like minerality.
Unlike many modern producers, Producteurs Plaimont, the cooperative responsible for this wine, have stuck with the long-established local grape varieties in order to offer an authentic expression of the local terroir and winemaking style.
