Most of the Viognier for this wine come from vineyards near Minervois in the North-East of the Languedoc. Here the vineyards are at a slightly higher altitiude and a little cooler than on the plain.

The palate boasts a nice balance of flavours with blackcurrant and redcurrant combined with spices and a hint of game and coffee. A beautiful structure with velvety tannins which would complement a beef tagine to perfection.
