Origin
More often seen as a constituent in white blends from southern France, Grenache Blanc also makes a great single-varietal wine, such as this example from Paul Mas. Fermented at cool temperatures, and matured without any oak, preserving maximum character from the grape.
Taste
A lightly aromatic nose offers white flower and tangerine notes. Bright green apple and citrus fruit dominate the palate, and an intriguing liquorice note lingers on the finish.
Enjoy
Partners well with quiches, cooked seafood, or creamy goat's cheese.
