Orders are delivered direct from the store closest to your delivery address. You'll be contacted within 24 hours to confirm the order and arrange the details. We turn around most orders within a day or two, although for addresses further from the store this may be longer (a maximum of 7 days).

Deep in hue, with dark cherry and berry fruit on the nose and hints of peppery spice. The typical purity and accessibility of Burgaud's Côte-Rôtie is here, with bold fruit of finely judged ripeness. The spice and pepper hints of the nose are in evidence too, as is a marked, stony minerality.

A traditional blend of 95% Syrah with 5% Viognier, the wine is modern in style, with great concentration and aromatic complexity, without over-extraction or excessive weight.
Sourced from roughly 5 acres of Syrah vines situated on the south/southeast-facing slope of the northern Rhône's Ampuis commune, the Madinière is named after the stream that runs at the foot of these vineyards.

One of the greatest producers of Hermitage, Jean-Louis Chave has a wine-making philosophy that harnesses terroir, fruit and tradition to produce wines that show great purity and complexity.
'The 2006 exhibits notes of raspberries, sweet cherries, bacon fat and roasted herbs in a medium to full-bodied, fleshy, relatively mature and delicious style. Already complex, it is best drunk over the next decade.' Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate, 91 points.
Pure, expressive, with dusky dark fruit and enticing spice. The palate shows a fresh, elegant nature with good depth of fruit. Layered and textured, with a smoky, almost gamey note of complexity and underlying spice. Classic, fine-tuned Côte-Rôtie with fine, yet gently gripping tannins. Impressive.

'The 2006 Cote Rotie La Landonne may merit a three digit score by the time it is bottled... this is another legendary effort from Marcel Guigal and his son, Philippe'. 96-98 points. Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate (tasted April 2009).
