Côtes du Rhône 2009/2010 Domaine Durieu

Dark purplish red, with a classic Rhône nose of red and black berries, enhanced with a touch of wild herbs and spice. Has plenty of body, but is supple and freshly juicy on the palate, with good length.

Condrieu Clos Boucher 2009 Delas Frères

This wine is light gold in colour. It has a wonderful concentration of intense, ripe stone fruit flavours and an elegant honeysuckle fragrance. The 100% new oak ageing gives the wine added structure and finesse, with a fantastic mineral quality on the finish. Very impressive.

Deep red in colour, with a freshness on the nose that lifts the expressive Syrah fruit: black and red cherries, bramble and redcurrants. A taught, savoury palate, with an interesting minerality.

Réserve Rouge 2010 Côtes du Rhône, Perrin et Fils

Intense aromas of red fruits, black cherry, peppermint and vanilla. Full bodied with warm fruits and spices, firm tannins and fresh acidity. Well structured with layers of flavour and rich, long finish.

A superbly balanced wine between youthful fruit and warm, oaky complexity where the nose and palate are replete with notes of cinnamon and clove amid the the dense bramble fruit.

Gigondas 2009/2010 Domaine de Notre Dames des Pallières

An elegant nose of black fruit is followed by a remarkable palate of blackcurrant, thyme, liquorice and tobacco characters. Warming peppery spice on the finish makes this perfect with casseroles.

Gaillard Syrah 2010 VdP des Collines Rhodaniennes

Fresh and supple Syrah with a vibrant crimson colour. The nose is blackcurrant and red cherry scented, with very subtle black and white pepper spice. Medium-bodied, with fine, slightly savoury tannins.

Vacqueyras 2010 Domaine de la Garrigue

Ripe blackberries, cherries, spice and suggestions of dried herbs. Rich and full bodied, with flavours of ripe plums, black cherries and hints of spices and liquorice, a soft mouthfeel and long finish.
