Origin
Domaine Durieu is a family-owned domaine established in 1976, and winemaking is now overseen by Vincent Durieu. Their Côtes du Rhône vineyards are located on the Plan de Dieu, a plateau of light, stony soils bordering the slopes of Rasteau and Cairanne.
Taste
Dark purplish red, with a classic Rhône nose of red and black berries, enhanced with a touch of wild herbs and spice. Has plenty of body, but is supple and freshly juicy on the palate, with good length.
Enjoy
An ideal partner for simple casseroles and well-seasoned pork or duck roasts.

    An excellent Cotes du Rhône

    Last night finished a bottle of the 2011 Durieu and thought it was excellent. with plenty of fruit and body. It's listed as 'C' for that, but I'd rate it more like a 'D'. Lots of spice and berries in there, and then satisfyingly long. Great value.
