A cracking value Rully from the Côte Chalonnaise region of Burgundy, showing rich citrus fruit with streaks of minerality and soft buttery oak flavours.
"It is always a pleasure when a new arrival impresses and, for under a tenner, this does seriously impress! Produced on sandy soils in the Côte Chalonnaise, Rully is normally early drinking and this example is no exception. The fully mature palate of hazelnuts intermingled with ripe green apple and citrus fruit give a truly outstanding value for money Burgundy. A must try with roast chicken."

Cabernet Franc is most famous for producing the light and elegant wines of the Loire Valley but here where the climate is a bit warmer, the wine takes on more richness, colour and fruit.
-
A delicious, brilliant Sauvignon Blanc with considerable depth and intensity, the aromatics are concentrated and extensive with fresh citrus combined with notes of passionfruit.
-
Crisp, refreshing acidity and fresh lemon flavours, this wine is famous in the region for being the perfect partner to the oysters and mussels grown in the Bassin de Thau, the salt water lakes nearby.
"Made on the Mediterranean coast close to the ‘oyster’ town of Sète, Picpoul might have been (probably was) designed as the perfect foil for seafood. It is crisp and fresh, with the same prickle of acidity that characterizes Muscadet, but has an added dimension with just the merest hint of tropical fruit. Always bottled in tall green flutes, it should be served young and cold. Don’t drink it on a wet Wednesday in February, but if the sun shines this is the perfect choice."
