From one of our most popular southern French producers comes this lovely Chardonnay, produced on an estate in the Cevennes hills to the north of Nimes.
Originally owned by Burgundian négoçe Antonin Rodet, this estate was bought by Gerard Bertrand in 2007. One of the Languedoc's highest vineyards, possessing the finely-balanced climate necessary for growing Pinot Noir, and has been the recipient of many awards.
An indigenous grape variety of the Languedoc, Carignan produces dark ruby red wines with plenty of body. This example from Alain Grignon is harvested from vines aged around 40 years old.
