Grape

Gamay, Pinot Noir

Origin
The gentle, rolling hills of the Mâconnais region in the south of Burgundy makes fresh and fruity wines accessible in their youth. This wine is sourced from several vineyard sites to create a light and supple blend of around 80% Gamay and 20% Pinot Noir.
Taste
An enticing nose showing subtle hints of redcurrant and raspberry, with a fruity, well-balanced palate and a fresh finish.
Enjoy
Best consumed while fresh and young, making the perfect red for white meat.

  • A nicely sappy and very refreshing (2010 Vintage)

"A nicely sappy and very refreshing halfway house between the lighter Pinots of Burgundy and the juicy Gamay of Beaujolais - and those two grapes in fact account for the blend here. The fruit is very much in the red berry camp (cranberries, raspberries) with a hint of green leafy freshness that once again makes this a wine worth chilling for summer-garden sipping. Rating: 87/100 (The Wine Gang, www.thewinegang.com, July 2012)"

  • Bright crimson (2010 Vintage)

"Bright crimson. Concentrated and a bit sweaty. Then freshness (Jancis Robinson, JancisRobinson.com, 25th May 2012)"
