"Regarded as one of the finest sites in Puligny Montrachet, 'Les Pucelles' neighbours the Grand Crus of Batard and Bienvenues. Similar in style to its big brothers, the 2007 'Les Pucelles' from Jomain is superb. A powerful nose of citrus peel, buttered toast, toasted hazelnuts and lemon curd. Gob-smackingly gorgeous, it is rich and powerful but maintains a wonderful elegance due to the fantastic mineral / citrus backbone. Sensational!!"

Chassagne-Montrachet Blanc 2007 Blain-Gagnard

While not as long-lived or as prestigious as Puligny, these wines are often better value and are more approachable when young. A fine example from a very good, small grower.
