Les Tourelles de Longueville 2007 Pauillac

Whilst this wine may not be available from the Fine Wine Centre please check with your local store for availability. The wine is currently built around the plot of Sainte Anne, planted with a majority of Merlot. A deep, purple colour with an enticing nose of strawberry, blackcurrant and fresh roses. Silky tannins give a more 'ready-to-drink' style, packed with toasty vanilla notes and an unmistakable elegance.

Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste 2002 Pauillac, 5ème Cru Classé

The 2002 vintage was most successful for Cabernet-dominated blends from the Médoc and, according to Clive Coates, this Grand-Puy-Lacoste is in the top 20 clarets made.

One of the undoubted megastars of Bordeaux, this vintage is full-bodied and dense to boot. A big wine now, it will develop for many years in bottle.

Now fully mature, this example of the excellent 1989 vintage shows excellent purity but is most noticeable for its perfume and silky texture. Absolutely at its peak. Drink now-2010.

This is a classic, full-bodied Pichon-Lalande proffering a profound bouquet of cedar, blackcurrants, spicy oak and minerals. The palate is rich and exceptionally well-balanced. Drinking well and will continue to mature.
