This is the second wine of Château Malescot St-Exupéry, a quality troisième-cru property in Margaux.
Price £20.00
Traditionally a Cabernet-Merlot blend, today the wine employs a small percentage of Petit Verdot for a firm, age-worthy structure. Aged for 18 months in 70%-new oak, the wine is elegant and round, with great aromatic complexity.

A more supple, early-drinking expression of the estate's style, the Sirene offers a fleshy core of fruit accented with notes of smoke, spice and creosote. The excellent 2006 vintage is drinking superbly now, and will continue to develop for another 5-10 years.
Price £24.00
A plump and rounded claret, typical of Pomerol, combining the lush fruit backbone of 70% Merlot with Cabernet Franc's leafy, savoury influence. Maturation in 40%-new french oak provides spice and polish.

Medium-bodied, with and attractive character, full of berry fruit and dried herb notes.
The 2008 is nevertheless a robust wine, with both ripeness and a savoury edge, with a cocoa bitterness, notes of woodsmoke and textural tannins.
Sarget de Gruaud Larose was introduced in 1979 as the second wine of the famous St-Julien second growth Gruaud Larose.
With a classic 'left bank' nose of smoky blackberry fruit and pencil lead the palate is rich and rounded with assertive tannins, ample fruit and well integrated oak.
A smoky, evolved and savoury nose with suggestions of forest mushrooms and charcuterie against a background of red berry fruit. Nicely balanced tannins, medium body and a silky finish.
Its fruit is voluptuous and soft, given the extreme warmth of the 2003 vintage, with a plenty of richness, yet restrained alcohol and a certain finesse and sense of freshness.
Ségla is the second wine of the famous Château Rauzan-Ségla. It is a wine with excellent concentration and poise. A great example of good value Margaux drinking well now.
A classic Pomerol blend of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc from this little-known château, with only 9 hectares of vines, which average around 40 years of age. From a solid vintage, this wine offers a supple structure and plenty of soft fruit, and is drinking very well now.
