Pinot Noir

Origin
Turckheim is a small village just a bus ride away from Colmar, in the Vouges mountains, in the départment Haut Rhine. The vines grow on very steep granitic vineyard sites.
Taste
An elegant raspberry-coloured Pinot Noir. An enticing nose of red berry fruits, particularly cherry, which follow through to the fresh, elegant palate and a dry finish.
Enjoy
Enjoy on its own or with light salads or fish dishes, this wine can also be enjoyed chilled.

    Not sure

I read all the review on this site before buying this wine and I am not sure if what I got is different from everyone else. I had it with a duck salad and it just didn't work for me.

    Wonderful

Soft, light subtle, great flavour and nose. Its probqably a good thing that it is so difficult to get Alsace Reds as I would drink them continually. Worth ecey penny. This is a particulary good one. Great with light flavoured meals or to sit and sup!

Why drink rose when this is available?

Chill it well and drink it in the summer. Taste and depth.

    Nice lunch wine.

Pinot noirs from cool regions can be too light and acid. This is light, but not too sharp. A nice lunch wine. Serve fresh.

Ideal spring wine for last minute need for a red wine to compliment red meat

Only wine merchants appear to drink Alsacian pinot noir. The general public is missing a useful versatile wine.

  • A new take on Pinot Noir

"First and foremost, this wine is very light in colour, almost a heavy rose rather than a red. Red cherry and raspberry aromas interwoven with beguiling hints of brambles and spices. Low levels of tannin, rather light in the palate, the flavours are entirely in the red fruit spectrum. Easy drinking, nothing is opressive or heavy, just ripe fruits!"
