The name, IIIB (Trois B) is the quality classification used by winemaker, Jean-Claude Mas. He designates his wines one to three, with three being the highest quality or Tete de Cuvée, and the letter B referring to Barrel Aged. Made from the fruit of 30 year old Merlot vines, the wine shows blackberry, raspberry and plum evolving toward mocha and toasted vanilla notes.
