Shadowfax winery is located in Werribee Park in the state of Victoria, a short drive from Melbourne. The winery is co-managed by Kiwi winemaker Matt Harrop, whose career has included spells at wineries in Italy, Moldova, New Zealand and Australia's Hunter Valley.
Taste
A big and weighty Chardonnay in the finest Aussie tradition, crammed with flavours of ripe pineapple and peach, accented with notes of hazelnut and savoury oak.

Drink with rich poultry dishes, or white fish in saffron butter.

    "Coming from a real hub of elegant Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs in Australia, Mornington Peninsula, this has a delicate floral edge that catches your attention before the buttery richness appears. A nice chewy texture on the palate with firm acidity and freshness keeping the richness of toasty flavours punchy rather than heavy. Rating: 90/100 (The Wine Gang, www.thewinegang.com, August 2012)"
