Argento Malbec

Argento Malbec 2007 Catena, Mendoza

An excellent Malbec made from grapes grown in the foothills of the Andes, one of the most favoured areas for cultivating grapes in Argentina. Ripe bramble and spicy blackberry notes on the nose are echoed on the richly textured palate, with hints of vanilla oak and balanced acidity on the finish.

"Malbec is Argentina's top red grape, and this elegant, ripe, sweet, berry fruit-laden red, complete with a velvety palate and hallmark tannins, is the bargain of the duo, and the perfect barbecue red."
