Leyda's Chardonnay vineyard sits on a hillside overlooking the rest of the estate, on a plot with a south-easterly aspect and loose, stony soils. The vines here are consequently low-yielding and promote a crisp, cool-climate style of Chardonnay.
Taste
Delicate green apple, lemon and nectarine characters dominate nose and palate, while soft vanilla and leesy biscuit notes from oak fermentation add complexity and texture.
Enjoy
The acidity and texture will make a great foil for a buttery chicken Kiev.
