Oak alert! Try a bottle or two before plunging in.
I don't recognise the wine from either the Majestic description, or the one previous review. My immediate and strong impression is OAK. It's good clean old-world oak, but there is a lot of it. There is fruit behind it but I would advise anyone to try a bottle or two before plunging in. Maybe with a premier cru you expect more of everything, but more oak wouldn't be my choice. I don't think keeping it for longer would change this.
Your questions to yourself: Do I like this style?
What am I going to drink it with? It certainly wouldn't be my choice for casual sipping.
