Majestic have followed Richard Fontaine's superb wines for many years, allowing us enviable access to allocations of his superb top-flight wines. Le Montrachet is produced in tiny quantities - so small in fact that Fontaine's cellars contain remarkable tiny barrels to mature the wine, since barriques are too big. The wine is a hugely concentrated, wonderfully delineated effort with a wonderfully expressive nose and well structured palate. Resistance is difficult, but at least a decade of development in the cellar awaits this wine.

• Feel free to mix Fine Wines with “regular” wines to make up your order of 12 bottles (or more!) in total. However, at least 6 bottles must be Fine Wine products, because Fine Wines require special distribution from our temperature-controlled Fine Wine Centre in London.
