The hotbed of Sauvignon Blanc also makes some stunning whites from this classic Italian grape - like this fine example from master New Zealand winemaker Brent Marris. Softer, richer and more tropical in flavour than its European counterpart, it's an exciting new arrival to our range.

"New World producers have been in a bit of a quandary about Pinot Grigio. Should they make a neutral Italian style because it sells or do what comes naturally, which is make something with flavour? Most have sensibly chosen the flavour route, as here. Pear and peach aromas, with full spicy fruit, acidity to balance and some residual sugar, making it off-dry, rather than dry. Ned, by the way, is the peak that overlooks the valley, not the producer's horse."
