Grape

Sauvignon Blanc

Origin
The most famous of all Loire Sauvignons, Sancerre is renowned for its crisp, citrus flavours, balanced by restrained mineral elegance. This wine amply demonstrates the quality of wines produced in the Loire Valley.
Taste
Brightly coloured, fresh citrus with underlying minerality and suggestions of mussel shells, following on from the nose it is refreshingly crisp with a well balanced finish.
Enjoy
A great apéritif or will partner perfectly with all manner of seafood.

At under a tenner, this is good value for a Sancerre.

    Really good and refreshing

We all loved it - for the money involved, this Sancerre is doubleplusgood. Perfect complement to the salmon ...

    disappointing

Very disappointing Sancere, especially given the marketing blurb. We love Sancere, this is definitely not a typical taste.

    POOR VALUE

THIS IS ACIDIC AND LACKS THE NORMAL FLAVOUR OF A GOOD SAUV BLANC - LET ALONE SANCERRE. SHOULD NOT BE SOLD AS SANCERRE BUT AS LOIRE PLONK

    A superb Sauvignon Blanc

This is a wine for special occassions. It has the the wonderful aromas of summer, the fine, zesty flavours that linger in the mouth. This is very different to the more fuller bodied stronger aromas of the SV's of New Zealand and makes a delightful change to this avid drinker of the SV wines.

    Not exceptional

This particular wine lacked taste and is not worth the price. Our favourite so far is Sancerre Domaine Vacheron - if you can find some more of this PLEASE let us know!

  • "The price drops under a tenner (to £9.49) if you buy two bottles of this classy, refreshing Sancerre, which makes it a bargain by the standards of such an in-demand appellation. Chalky and bright, with zesty acidity and impressive length of flavour. Score: 89/100"
