Origin
Bodegas Eguia is located in the heart of the Rioja Alavesa subregion, in the village of Elciego, one of the area's winemaking hotspots. The traditional reserva style is achieved through 24 months ageing in French and American oak and 2 years' cellarage before release.
Taste
Beautifully deep ruby coloured, with subtle cedar hints to the rim. The bouquet is an intense mix of dark fruit, toasted oak and clove aromas. The palate has weight yet an elegant profile.
Enjoy
Match with a mature steak, or with a board of chorizo and manchego cheese.

    Top class Rioja

    Great recommendation from staff in Majestic Berkhamstead, guest were impressed they've ordered some too... powerful flavour, dark and oaky.

    Excellent choice

    When we saw this Rioja was on offer we decided to buy it,we have had other Rioja's in the eguia family. This was an excellent choice. It is great value for money at this special offer price. A good wine, subtle, flavoursome and went well with a beef stroganoff and cheese for afters. Good bouquet really recommend

    Excellent. Great quality at a sensible price

    First bought the 2005. Have bought two lots of the 2006 since. We keep coming back for more 'cos we really like it.

    Excellent Deal

    Rarely on a deal do you believe that the wine retailed at the quoted price but on this occasion I can say this wine tastes every bit the classy Rioja it is and at a reduced price a rare genuine bargain.

    Truly excellent taste with a natural cork.

    This wine should be at least classed as D for its body and content. It is very flavoursome and full bodied and has a true Natural Cork which is helping to support the natural cork oak forests and gives the wine a better taste.

      Excellent Deal, good mature tasting wine. Pity i bought it with the Rioja Reserva c2005 Marqués de Cáceres. That was double the price and not a patch on the Vino Eguia
