Origin
A green, forested area, Margaret River has a cool, maritime climate and is the most noted region of Western Australia. Building on a tradition of pioneering spirit as one of the first wineries in the region, Cape Mentelle is aiming simply to be the best.
Taste
Blackcurrant and cherry aromas, enhanced by a rich palate showing hints of liquorice and cedar with well-integrated tannins.
Enjoy
An excellent alternative to Bordeaux, to partner with roasted and grilled red meats.

    OUTSTANDING

    I had the 2005 vintage and thought it was a very decent Cab/Merlot blend no faults i could spot. The 2007 is BETTER, and the finish lasted a good 2 minutes....i dont think even Premier Cru Classes I hae tried from Bordeaux etc.. have topped that!!

    Delicious, smooth and very drinkable

    Outstanding wine, decant first and enjoy. 2007 is excellent.

    A hit

    Served this at 5 or 6 dinner parties and I keep coming back to it given the unanimous reviews from guests. Excellent crowd pleaser. Elegantly smooth and powerful

    Quality counts

    This is a quality wine in all respects. Classy, smooth, with length and finesse! Will improve with age but is excellent now. Five Stars!
