After a period of inconsistency during the 1970s, Léoville-Barton, under the auspices of Anthony Barton was on a roll during the 1980s. The 1988 is a classic Léoville-Barton, offering spice, cedar, red and black currant fruits. It is a well balanced wine, ready for drinking now.
