Origin
Fleurie is one of the ten crus of Beaujolais and one of the most sought after. Georges Duboeuf is one of the best known winemakers in this region to the south of Burgundy, and has been nicknamed the King of Beaujolais.
Taste
Classic Fleurie with fresh cherry fruits and a fragrant, floral perfume. Concentrated fruit and light tannic presence are testament to the cru status of this wine. An attractive wine with a silky texture.
Enjoy
Served at cellar temperature (approximately 12oC) this is a refreshing companion to a light summer lunch.

    Not up to scratch

I have always thought Georges Duboeuf is meant to be synonymous to quality and value for money, but this wine is disappointing: Flat taste, no fruitiness at all. Maybe it. needs to age another year to take the bittery, tannine- like taste off. This is not what I expected, and I won't buy it again.

    A bit dull

Compared to other Fleurie's this doesn't light my fire. Better to try the Yarra valley Pinot Noir's.

    Really enjoyable

Started drinking it before dinner, had it with dinner and having finished the first bottle after dinner, we opened and finished the second. For the money, a really good Fleurie in my opinion. Cin cin!

    I'm not worthy

All the reviews of the 2010 vintage suggest that its a marvellous vintage. Afraid not, in the hands of the legendary beaujolais grape mangler G Duboeuf we have yet another example of why the wines of this region are no better young or aged. This is a true shocker..in fact..i thought we'd past all this nonsense.. Lovely inviting nose, leading to some sort of vegetable acidity.. perhaps its too young... so i left it for 4hrs... 6hrs... 24hrs.. It got worse. The 2nd bottle was exactly the same. Do yourself a favour and treat yourself to one of Majestic proper beaujolais, or get rid of this at xmas parties

  • "Instantly recognisable, this is possibly the most well-known Beaujolais produced. Soft strawberry fruit and characteristic floral notes on the nose lead into a refined palate that offers great flavour concentration and excellent length."
