A cracking Chardonnay
Elegant and well balanced. The Russian River Chardonnay has delicious fruit, and the oak is well integrated and doesn't dominate, giving just enough buttery vanilla sweetness which is in perfect balance with the acidity.
OK it's not the cheapest, but it compares well with some Montrachets costing 4 or 5 times the price, although perhaps lacking some of their Burgundian minerality.
