Pinot Noir
Pinot Noir produces deliciously smooth wines with ripe silky tannins and juicy red summer fruit. Although it is famed for producing the red wines of Burgundy, and in particular, the Côte d'Or, Pinot Noir is now widely cultivated outside of Burgundy, in regions that mirror its cool growing conditions, such as Central Otago, New Zealand, the Yarra Valley, Australia and Carneros, California. Pinot Noir's invaluable contribution to Champagne must also not be forgotten!

The Las Alturas vineyard is a 15-acre site located at the highest plantable altitude in the highlands of Monterey County. Selected Pinot Noir clones suitable for this marginal environment produce wine of remarkable body and intensity. A complex and dense Pinot, with a backbone of red and black fruit, richly embellished with savoury notes reminiscent of pudding spices and cured meats.
