Grape

Sauvignon Blanc

Origin
Botrytised grapes have been specially selected from amongst the vines of the Waihopai River vineyard to make this wine. The fermentation process takes a lengthy 6 months and extracts huge flavours from the shrivelled berries.
Taste
Intensely sweet, yet balanced with a mixture of crisp citrus and fresh melon flavours, and as such, never cloys. Lingers long on the palate.
Enjoy
An amazing match for gorgonzola or rich pâtés.

    Delicious

We first drank this at the brilliant 'Wild Garlic' restaurant in Dorset run by the Masterchef winner Mat Follas. It had a lovely mixture of sweetness and acidity which was a stunning match for the citrus tart. It was good with my key lime pie too.

  • "Made from grapes that have been infected by "noble rot" or friendly fungus, which concentrates the flavours by shriveling the berries, this is a lively, limey, melony and intensely sweet wine with real appeal."
