3 x Pinot Grigio 'Bacaro' 2010 IGT Pavia
Pinot Grigio is synonymous with Italy and represents a large proportion of all Italian wines on shelves, but it is not a native variety. Originally grown in Burgundy, the vine travelled all over Europe, settling down in many areas, but Italy is now its spiritual home. The pale hue of the wine gives way to hints of perfume, pears, stone fruit and lime, as well as the occasional floral note. Fresh and vibrant acidity results in a light, easy drinking wine. The quintessential apéritif to be enjoyed in the sun (or to bring respite from winter's gloom) or partner light fish and chicken dishes.
