Additional information:

  • A bottle of Red Burgundy Reserve Côte d'Or 2011 Labouré-Roi - Majestic Wine

    3 x Red Burgundy Reserve Côte d'Or 2011 Labouré-Roi

A deliberately soft and juicy style of red Burgundy, made with 100% Gamay. The grapes undergo thorough de-stemming to remove any harsh tannins, before fermentation and at least 6 months' maturation prior to bottling. The raspberry-like fruit and slim body will make this wine ideal with cold cuts and light pasta dishes.

  • A bottle of Casale di Valle Chianti 2011 DOCG - Majestic Wine

3 x Casale di Valle Chianti 2011 DOCG

Casale di Valle is a 16th-century villa near Florence, which was once a hunting lodge frequented by the nobility, as well as an area of wine growing. Since the 1990s it has been replanted with improved Sangiovese clones for wines of better quality and ageing potential. Bright ruby red in colour, with density and persistent legs. Aromas of cherry and fresh red fruits mingle with spicy pepper notes. Lively and supple on the palate, with fine, rounded tannins. Drink with grilled poultry dishes, or with smoked ham and olives.

  • A bottle of Argento Malbec 2011/2012 Mendoza - Majestic Wine

    3 x Argento Malbec 2011/2012 Mendoza

An excellent Malbec made from grapes grown in the foothills of the Andes, one of the most favoured areas for cultivating grapes in Argentina. Ripe bramble and spicy blackberry notes on the nose are echoed on the richly textured palate, with hints of vanilla oak and balanced acidity on the finish.

  • A bottle of Errazuriz Merlot 2010/2011 Aconcagua - Majestic Wine

    3 x Errazuriz Merlot 2010/2011 Aconcagua

The fruit for this wine was sourced from a range of sites across the Aconcagua Valley, where the Mediterranean climate and cold nights encourage good fruit purity. Only 50% of the wine has been aged in French oak for added complexity, while retaining fruit character. Youthful in character with a bright crimson colour. A fruit-driven nose, with plenty of soft plum and bramble, and the merest hint of vanilla and spice from the oak, and the blend's 15% Carmenere. Equally at home with pasta in simple tomato-based sauces, as it is with red meat, grilled chops or sausages.
