Terrunyo Sauvignon Blanc

Terrunyo Sauvignon Blanc 2007 Casablanca Valley Chile

Winemaker Ignacio Recabarren has been credited as one of Chile's first to realise the potential of the cool-climate Casablanca Valley, now the source of some of Chile's world-class white wines. For him, it's all about the vineyard, Terrunyo meaning 'terroir' in Spanish. Lime, lemon zest and herb flavours mingle seamlessly with flinty mineral and sea salt notes. Elegant with a mouthwatering finish, try this with delicate white fish dishes or seafood.

"You can smell and taste its purity and style. The citrus and mineral are unparalleled in Chile, while the finish is as long as the country it comes from."

"Lean and bracing at first, with flint and lime notes, this slowly opens to show more gooseberry, chive flower and sea salt flavors that ripple through the lengthy, mouthwatering finish. Drink now through 2009. 90 points."
