Using the practice of 'lutte raisonnée', or minimum intervention, winemaker Edouard Pisani-Ferry aims to produce ever riper grapes and the sunshine and heat of 2003 certainly helped! The well-matured grapes provide soft berry fruit flavours offset by the fresh redcurrant characteristics that make Loire reds so refreshing.
