Origin
Founded in 1877 in Nuits-St-Georges, by a specialist Crémant de Bourgogne producer, Jean Boillot. Produced from Burgundy's native varieties, alcoholic fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks before secondary fermentation in bottle and aged for 24 months on its lees.
Taste
A yeasty, toasty nose with fresh pear and peach aromas gives way to a dry, clean and crisp palate with a rich texture, enticing flavours of baked granny smith apples and limes with a long creamy finish.
Enjoy
Enjoy chilled as an apéritif or with seafood and fresh fish.

    Lovely stuff

I tried to give this four stars but the fourth star wouldn't go yellow. Anyhow, love these bubbles from Cremant. First had it in Paris a couple of years ago, my friend who lives there says it's the cream of cremants - and the Parisians buy it for special occasions (if they're not buying good champagne). It's got nice, small bubbles and it's peachy but dry and smooth.

    expected more

Rather acidic and sharp I expected more of this wine. Have tasted better Prosecco

"At an offer price that puts it in prime party sparkler territory, this mix of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir is a good budget option. The acidity is on the refreshing-bordering-on-tart side, but there is some toasty, baked-apple richness, and a clean finish, too. Rating: 85/100 Goes with: Aperitif wine."

  • "…is a more serious Sparkler: a chardonnay / pinot noir mix with some toasty depth and good balance of acidity."
