"A poor summer 2009 crop of non-vintage bubbles, so if it has to be champagne for that wedding, or 21st birthday, serve a good ordinary fizz throughout and a glass of this for the toast. I have no idea how many thousands of cases Lanson produces, but its pinot noir-dominated non-vintage black label Brut has been a triumph for years, all glorious, light, lively, lemon biscuit-styled fruit. At this cut price, buy long for future celebrations."

    I agree with Jane MacQuitty - this is a wonderful deal. I love the way this champagne is great to drink immediately with its apple tastes and ages so well over a year or two. Very good indeed.
